Benefits and Welfare Officer (South) 

Salary Range £26,193 – £32,650

The Post

Reporting to the Head of Direct Services, the successful applicant will provide a welfare and benefits service to an existing client group of people and families affected by Motor Neurone Disease living in the Central Belt and southern Scotland.  The Benefits and Welfare Officer (North) already provides a similar service to clients living in Perthshire and those counties north of Perthshire.  The Benefits and Welfare Officer (South) is a full time post.  Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm, 35 hours per week although some flexibility may occasionally be required.  There may be an additional, occasional, requirement for out of hours working to meet client needs for which time off in lieu will be given.

Largely office based at our premises in Firhill Road, Glasgow, there will be a requirement to travel to the homes of people affected by MND who have severe mobility and communication difficulties as a result of the disease.
