About Us

MND Scotland exists to help all those affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND) within Scotland; those living with the disease, their families, carers and those health and social care professionals who contribute to the care of people with MND.

Our vision is ‘to make Scotland a place where people are aware of MND, where those living with MND can expect consistently high standards of care and where we can work towards finding a cure’.

Our aims are to:

  • Ensure that the right help, care and support is available at the right time to everyone with MND and their families in Scotland.
  • Inform, educate and support health and social care professionals working with people affected by MND
  • Promote research into all aspects of MND
  • Raise awareness of MND
