New Year’s Resolutions…

I know, I know, it’s not even Christmas yet.  But we wanted you to have a wee think about something… January is a busy month for us.  And we like it that way, frankly!  It’s busy because lots of you lovely lovely people get to the beginning of January, and sign up for marathons.  And 10ks.  Or decide to organise your own event.  All in the name of fighting MND.… read more »

We’re launching something new…

So, over the past year and a bit we’ve signed up for twitter completely revamped how we use facebook, and started this blog. In terms of keeping in contact with you about what we do and why we do it we think that we’re doing okay, but we’re always trying to improve.  Not everyone uses twitter, or facebook, and not everyone reads the blog.  Google+ hasn’t really released organisational pages… read more »

In the meantime, how about entering our Christmas Cracker Draw? For every multiple of £2 that you donate, we’ll give you one entry into the draw.  [We wanted to do a pay-what-you-want model, like that which a few bands are using…. but unfortunately the legalities… read more »

Mistletoe & Snow: The Provost of Renfrewshire’s Charity Ball

We were honoured to be chosen by Celia Lawson, Provost of Renfrewshire, to be the charity to benefit from the Mistletoe Ball, this year held at the very posh Mar Hall in Bishopton on the 26th November. As nominated charity we took along a group of our supporters and sat quietly and demurely (cough) at our table as the evening proceeded… Hosted by Sean Batty (him aff the telly… I… read more »

…they’re gonna put me in the movies…

Last week I said that I’d tell you about the piece of film that we had made for the Cornflower Ball, and as I’ve said before I do try to be a woman of my word…. so here we go. For those of you that weren’t at the Cornflower Ball here’s the background – before dinner we have a welcome, and after dinner we usually have a short speech which… read more »

Jinky Johnstone, Davie Cooper, and the Gobi Desert…

It’s the first challenge of our fundraising “ask” that before we can say anything about money, we have to explain exactly (or vaguely) what Motor Neurone Disease is.  Professor Stephen Hawking has, of course, raised the public profile of MND – but as you’re probably aware, he is a somewhat exceptional case.  Anyone fundraising for a rare condition or difficult cause will tell you a similar tale – that you… read more »

For everything there is a season…
