Branch Newsletter from meeting held on 5 February 2013
Edinburgh Branch Ceilidh
Our Ceilidh which was held at the Bainfield Bowling Club, Edinburgh on the 22nd February 2013 was a great success, mainly due to the hard work of Branch Members Ann Callaghan and Molly Robertson who organised this event. Thanks must also to to the “girls” Alma Allan, Margaret McGrath, Sheila Clarke and family and friends who on the night helped with the buffet, selling raffle tickets and door duties.
Over £2,000 was raised for MND through the sale of tickets, donation and a raffle with all prizes being donated by local business people and supporters of MND Scotland. Music on the night was provided by the Fraser McKinnon Ceilidh Band who provided their services at a reduced rates. (They were fantastic!!!)
Retirement
Branch member and volunteer Sheila Kennedy has decided to retire due to ill health. Sheila has been a great supporter of MND Scotland and our Branch for over 10 years. Along with volunteering for fundraising events, Sheila also supplied and made our coffee at our regular meetings. Thanks Sheila! (New coffee maker required!!) We all wish her good health in the future.
New Members
A warm welcome was given to Amanda Riddell and Amy McLean who have decided to join our group. Amanda and Amy are already organising a charity race night followed by a disco in the Masonic Hall, Portobello on 8 June 2013 in aid off MND Scotland. Please note this one in your diary.
All new members made most welcome.

Bi-monthly meetings held at Moira Park Sheltered Housing Complex, Moira Park, Edinburgh EH7 6RW, off Portobello Road, at 7.30pm all welcome to attend.
