Family Information Evenings

No matter where you live in Scotland a family information evening should be available to you.  Your rights to information and our services are not diminished by distance.  In order to make maximum use of our resources we would like to hold two Family Information Evenings each year for each of our Care Centres.  Our Care Centres are based at Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.  However, the Information Evenings don't have to take place in those cities, we've held them in Ayr, Kirkaldy and Perth in the past since those places were easier for the families of people recently diagnosed with MND to travel to.

If you have travel difficulties, but want to attend an Information Evening, let us know about it and we may be able to help by either finding transport for you or arranging an Information Evening closer to your area.

If you and your family have unanswered questions or needs related to MND, e.g. what support is available to you from the NHS or Social Work, what services we can offer  such as grants, welfare advice or equipment loan, then you need a family information evening.  Please contact your designated care team member to request one or telephone our Education Officer, Bob, on 0141 945 1077.

Our next Family Information Evenings

The next one will be at our Patient and Carer Centre at our Glasgow Offices on 4th March 2010 from 7 to 9:30 pm.  If you are related to someone recently diagnosed with MND, haven't received an invitation and wish to attend please contact us on 0141 945 1077.
