Our Education Officer organises regular meetings and demonstration for the benefit of people with MND and their carers, both family and professionals. No charge is made for these sessions.
Family Information Evenings
Family information evenings are an opportunity for the friends and families of the recently diagnosed to learn more about motor neurone disease and the support available from MND Scotland, the NHS and your local Community Health Partnership.
Cooking for Swallowing Dificulties Demonstrations
Some people affected by MND might eventually develop swallowing problems, these sessions are intended to help you find ways of modifiying the preparation and presentation of the foods you normally eat at home to make them easier for someone with swallowing problems.
In-Service Awareness Raising
Available free of charge to staff of any organisation that is likely to come into contact with people with MND: Awareness Raising Sessions can be tailored to the needs of your staff and can help prepare staff to understand the needs of clients affected by MND.
