The weeks and months after diagnosis can be a difficult time for people with MND and their families. MND Scotland hosts Family Information Evenings to help inform the families and friends of those with MND of the implications of the diagnosis. The format of each evening includes a short talk on what MND is and some of the more common problems it can create. This is followed by a break during which those attending can have a cup of tea or coffee and a chance to meet with other people and to compare notes.

After the break the care team member for the area will present a short talk on the services MND Scotland can offer to help people affected by MND.

The evening usually lasts about two to two and a half hours and is an excellent opportunity for you to find out more about how we can help.
