MND Scotland Research PhDs

PhD Studentship
Commencing October 2010

One of the key priorities of MND Scotland is the promotion of research into all aspects of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and as such we wish to invite applications for our PhD studentship for 2010. 

This scheme aims to stimulate and increase high quality research into MND and hopes to encourage the scientists of the future to develop careers in MND related research.

Prospective supervisors, associated with UK Institutions, together with a named student should submit an application by Monday 30th August 2010.

Awards to successful applicants will be for a three year period to allow successful completion of a PhD.  The award will include a student stipend of £13,000 in the first year, £13,500 in the second year and £14,000 in the third year.  In addition, matriculation fees at the level for UK students will be provided as will full, appropriate and justifiable consumable costs.
