Each year we receive a large number of requests from schools who are taking part in the initiative. As a result, it would help us if you could complete our application form at the bottom of this page.
In order to help you with your project, there is some summarised information about Motor Neurone Disease in our YPI Information Pack.
We recommend that you use this to create your presentation. It will be helpful to your audience if you explain what the condition is and how it affects people. If you know someone who has been affected by MND, you might want to include this. If not, we have several personal stories about living with MND on our website.
If you are keen to meet some of the people living with MND, you could ask if you might attend one of our support groups. These are held across Scotland, so there may be one in the area where you live. You can include information about the services MND Scotland provides to support people affected by MND - this is on our website.
While we do our best to support each application, it is not always possible to provide a speaker for each school as our headquarters are in Glasgow and we don't have any local branches. However, we do our best to find a volunteer in your area who can come along and talk to you about the work of MND Scotland.
How we would use the prize money should you win it?
You can also see what a difference the money raised by our supporters makes.
