Cumbrae Cycle/Walk

Our annual sponsored cycle ride and walk around the beautiful island of Cumbrae.

Join us for a fun family day out of cycling or walking for all ages and abilities.

The 10-mile (approx) event takes place around the island of Great Cumbrae.  The route is flat , with stunning views over to Arran and Bute.

Participants should make their own way to and from the Calmac Ferry terminal at the pier head at Largs. Ferry fares, bus fares (on Cumbrae) and bike hire are provided by MND Scotland.

Tickets for the ferry will be purchased in bulk at the pier head office in Largs before departure, so all participants must register in advance.

Once we arrive on Cumbrae, cyclists will be taken by bus to Millport, and from here cyclists can start their cycle!.  Walkers can start their journey when we arrive at the ferry terminal on Cumbrae.

At the end of the cycle, participants should return their cycles to the hire shop.

Cyclists can meet up for refreshments at the Newton Bar at the end of the cycle.

It is advisable to have changes of clothing in case of rain. A support car will travel around the island to provide any assistance required.
