MND Scotland Fun Run 2019

Our annual Fun Run and Sponsored Walk returns on Saturday 1st June at Strathclyde Country Park.

Join us at Strathclyde Country Park for our annual MND Scotland Fun Run!

Our Fun Run and Sponsored Walk is a great family day out for all ages and abilities, so join us in raising awareness and funds to help fight back against Motor Neurone Disease.

This year our event is supported by the Scottish Sun, in partnership with M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park. Entry to the park is free and all participants and volunteers will receive a ticket for a 'ride all day' wristband for M&D’s Scotland's Theme Park in their post-race goodie bag. This can be redeemed at the park on a day of your choice during the season.

The Fun Run starts at 11am and you can walk, run, jog, or use your wheelchair, to complete the 4-mile or 6-mile route around Strathclyde Loch. We’ll also have refreshments, entertainment, music and face painters on the day, so bring all your friends and family to join in on the fun!

Our race isn't competitive and we do not record specific finishing times, although we do have a post-race prize giving for the first across the line in various categories.

What’s included?

  • T-shirt for every entrant
  • Medal for all finishers
  • Prizes for all category winners
  • Refreshments and stalls
  • Music and other entertainment
  • Free post-race massage for participants
  • Post race goody bag, including our latest 'Aware Magazine' newsletter, and free 'ride all day' wristband for M&D's Scotland's Theme Park on a day of your choice for all finishers

Entry is £10 per person, however people with MND, members of MND Scotland and under-16s go for free.

Please note that all participants who are 15 years or under must be accompanied by an adult.

Don't forget, we are not planning a Holyrood Fun Run in 2019, so don't miss this opportunity to get involved!

We kindly ask that participants and spectators do not bring extendable dog leads - these can be a trip hazard for participants.

This is a photographed event and photos may be used on social media, on our website, and in publications. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please tell a member of our team on the day.

Drones are not allowed anywhere on the site.

Volunteer

We're looking for around 60 volunteers to help out on the day, with duties such as car park management, route stewarding, registration duties, handing out goodie bags, and manning merchandise stalls within the main tent. If you think you could help out, please let us know via the volunteers section.
