We have offer grants to people affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND) to help take away some of the financial burden that comes with the disease.

These grants can help alleviate some of the financial burdens which come with a diagnosis of MND.

Small Grant

This grant aims to help reduce some of the extra costs that comes as a result of living with MND. The grant can be used to cover many different costs associated with the illness, such as, clothes and utility bills.

Wellbeing Grant

This grant is available to help both carers and people with MND to access a range of therapies, such as massage and reiki, along with other self-care services that can help to improve mental health and wellbeing.

Making a will and more 

Once you have been given a diagnosis of MND, it’s important to consider planning ahead. We can help you make your wishes known through a will, Power of Attorney (PoA) and an Advance Directive.

Time Out Grant

This grant aims to help give carers and patients a break from their usual routine. This could be used for holiday costs and other activities that give carers some time out.

Equipment and Adaptations Grant

This grant can help with the costs associated with adapting a house for someone with a disability (if they are not covered by statutory grants) or can help with covering the cost of equipment that is essential and cannot be supplied in any other way.

Professional Development Grant

This grant helps MND professionals meet the costs of attending relevant conferences and training courses. The grant can be used to cover event fees, registration costs, travel and accommodation.
