Double win for MND at The Scottish Charity Awards

MND campaigner Gordon Aikman helped secure public funding for MND nurses – and double the current number of existing nurses. Fernando Ricksen showed huge courage in opening up about how MND has affected him.

In addition to each individual award all 30 finalists were in the running for the People’s Choice – Heart and Soul Award. We had campaigned on social media and did all we could in asking people to vote for us, but we were up against some remarkable charities with masses of supporters – however we won!

Winning the People’s Choice award is a testament to all of our incredible supporters who tirelessly campaign, raise awareness of MND and who encouraged everyone they knew to vote for us. Thank you to each and every one of you. 

Update: Gordon Aikman sadly passed away at the age of 31 in February 2017.
